Kim gave our garden club a great presentation and really made everyone stop and think about the impact of what we are (and are not!) planting in our gardens. It was especially helpful for some who are 'old school' to consider using inputs like compost, letting plants go to seed, leaving leaves in the garden and more.

A passionate and educational speaker
I have attended several of Kim's presentations. She's very passionate about motivating her audience to garden in ways that are beneficial to the environment. Kim is a great speaker and she really knows her stuff. I always learn something from one of her presentations. She has inspired me to rethink how I approach my gardening plans. I highly recommend you try one of her presentations, you won't be disappointed.
A pioneering educator
Kim's comical yet serious and engaging style of teaching helped draw me in several years ago to seeing how we treat the land around us and how we need to make important changes in the way landscapes are designed and managed. What has come together for me from the seeds of knowledge Kim has passed on is an understanding of what we presently value as "landscape design" and "landscape Care" is incredibly detrimental to the overall ecology. After hearing Kim speak for the first time, an attendee might find themselves a little put off, at odds with one's own personal views and beliefs, however after some time those seed of wisdom and insight germinate and the student can never return to what is obvious truth in Kim's words and the new you will begin to see and do things differently. A very meaningful, empowering changes takes place.
Thanks Kim for sharing your knowledge.

It was a fabulous presentation complete with Eco Beneficial Tips and Recommended Reading handout. Our club members are rhapsodic about Kim Eierman.
Kim Is Wonderful
Kim knows her subject and is entertaining. Many of our members commented how they enjoyed her talk. I learned so much and she opened my eyes to how I can improve my landscape to invite beneficial bugs. I am certainly more cognizant now and she my garden differently. I would invite her again in the future.
Learn About Beneficial Insects and Much More
I had the pleasure of hearing Kim speak to the Maplewood Garden Club this week. In the space of just over an hour, she delivered an information-packed talk on beneficial insects and their host plants, native plants and overall planning principles for environmentally friendly gardens. Her deep knowledge allowed her to answer our questions in stride and her reference materials are first class. I think we all walked away having learned something and inspired to put it to use!
Amazing Speaker, Captivated the Audience
Kim spoke at our Green Steps Expo on March 22, 2015, in Larchmont, NY. The Expo featured expert speakers on a range of environmental subjects, but Kim's presentation may have stolen the show. People (and non-gardeners) who came only to test drive Teslas, stayed to listen to Kim speak on how best to create backyard biodiversity and change the way we think about our lawns. I know everyone who heard her speak came away with a renewed interest in improving (eco-benificially!) their own gardens and green spaces.

Kim's specialties are native plants and ecology, plus she speaks on numerous other horticulture topics....A true 5 star speaker!
Gardening To Attract Birds And Beneficial Insects!
I have heard Kim speak twice - and each time she was incredibly knowledgeable and, frankly, inspirational! Her presentation for the Bedford Audubon Society provided a very comprehensive overview of the native trees, shrubs, and perennials to plant to attract birds - I immediately started taking her advice and now have many birds that frequent my garden!
I also heard her speak at the "Designing Environmentally Sound Landscapes" workshop at the Westchester County Center in December 2013 - her presentation provided lots of important insights and practical ideas and suggestions.
Looking forward to hearing her presentation about "Planting For Pollinators" at WCC's Native Plant Center's "Wildlife Matters: Creating Landscapes that Sustain Nature" Conference tomorrow!

She kept everyone's attention and answered all our questions. She is an inspirational speaker with an urgent message to share.
“Native Herbs”
Kim's talk to our unit of the herb society was well-researched and presented with humor and genuine interest. She had a well-organized power point presentation. She clearly has a deep understanding of natives, and plenty of practical growing experience as well. She understood the level of our group and adjusted her talk accordingly. And she was a pleasure to work with!
Knowledgeable and Passionate
Compelling and entertaining speaker. She came to speak to NYC Beekeepers, and presented an enjoyable evening. She opened my eyes to look at plants in a whole new way - through the eyes of the bees - and left me inspired to bring more native, sustainable and pollen-bearing plants to my garden.
Rutger’s Garden School
I had the opportunity to hear Kim speak at a session of the Rutger's Home Garden School. Kim was very informative, organized and well-spoken but her best attribute was her passion for her topic, native plants. She answered the audience questions thoroughly and without any condescension. Many in the audience were hearing some of her information for the first time and everyone was carefully attentive and busy taking notes. Kim is an excellent choice for any group that wants to increase their knowledge of native plants.
Inspirational
I especially liked the way Kim laid out the case for the 'storeys' with their separate bird populations thereby taking us all a step beyond simple tree/shrub/herb categories. Even though I'm a native plants 'old-timer', I found her program full of new information.
