Mr. Sadler shares case studies of his consulting practice, landscape history, precedents, insights, plus anecdotes of his adventures in the profession.
Charles King Sadler is a respected Landscape Designer, Leading Topiary Artist, Garden Care Authority and International Boxwood Expert.
Mr. Sadler brings the refinement of a fine arts and art history background together with the hands-on knowledge of plant cultivation. Mr. Sadler has been sought after for training in landscape design restoration and care by top firms and horticulturalists across the country and in Europe, and has designed and cared for some of the finest properties in North America.
Mr. Sadler builds on over two decades of experience. He received his fine arts education from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and his Landscape Architecture training from Syracuse’s school of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF).
Early in his artistic career, Mr. Sadler worked as an illustrator for publications from the New York Times to the Los Angeles Times. Having received world class training in the traditional art of hand pruning and plant care at the Humes Japanese Garden on Long Island, NY, certified arborist Charles King Sadler is an expert in the planting and care of ornamental trees and shrubs. Educating fellow professionals and renovating maturing landscapes is a key component of Mr. Sadler's body of work.
Whether designing from the ground up or restoring from the canopy down, Mr. Sadler develops gorgeous, sustainable, and ecologically mindful designs employing natives and classic choices for all scales of landscapes.
