SHRUBS IN YOUR GARDEN

February 15, 2019 By Lorraine Ballato

We often hear that shrubs are the backbone of the garden. But exactly what does that mean and how best can we use shrubs in our gardens? Hint: it’s not always about the flowers.

This talk will introduce you to the many new shrubs on the market as well as old favorites. But the question remains: how precisely to use shrubs in our gardens. I’ll show you their fabulous foliage, and discuss maintenance requirements. Even deer resistance is an aspect I cover. Using some tried and true workhorses and these newer introductions, I’ll show you how easily you can design your garden and transform it to a low maintenance, colorful space using shrubs that will bring you pleasure for the entire growing season, sometimes without even a hint of a flower.

Contact me for info on how we can work together to bring this fun and informative talk to your group, either in person or virtually.
