This comprehensive seminar goes beyond basic rose gardening and explores both the science and the art of growing healthy,
robust roses. It concentrates on rose horticulture including the importance of soil, water and nutrients and focuses on planting and pruning, two of the frequently misunderstood aspects of rose horticulture. We show you an easy to understand, step-by-step approach on the right way to plant roses in New England as well as the proper pruning techniques for different rose classes. Pruning correctly will help you build plants and increase blooms. Learn to control insects and diseases as well as practical guidelines for plant selection. (This can be a two or three hour seminar.)
We will be available to sign copies of our books, Roses for New England: A Guide to Sustainable Rose Gardening and Rose Gardening Season by Season: A Journal for Passionate Gardeners, after the program.
